St. Paul’s Anglican Church Lawrence made bold and strategic use of their church lawn earlier in July, when they pitched a large open sided tent and invited the neighborhood to a four day revival event. Inspiring guest speakers, vibrant worship and St. Paul’s gift for extraordinary Kenyan hospitality ensured a full tent each day of the event. Rev. Morris Mungai even ensured that the talks were contemporaneously translated into Spanish so that their Spanish speaking neighbors felt at home. The event mobilized an army of volunteers and leaders from St. Paul’s and Rev. Morris was encouraged to receive guests from neighboring ACNA churches. Bishop Drew commented, “I want to really congratulate Rev.Morris and all those who worked so hard to make this event so impactful. St. Paul’s brought the Gospel to their neighborhood in a bold and creative way. It always amazed me what the Lord can do when we have the courage to take the Good News of Jesus Christ out onto the street.”
A full Sunday at the Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity led by Rev. Eliud Mwangi. A baptism, confirmation, enrollment of men to the Men’s Group and the licensing of Margaret Waithera Njoroge with presentations and a banquet to honor the new Lay Reader. In the past few months the church has grown with the joining of twelve new families.
