Gospel Integration Seminars

Expert voices. Difficult questions. The heart of Jesus.

This new series of ADNE seminars is designed to lean into the hardest parts of our modern reality, bringing the healing lens of the Gospel to the most complex and sensitive issues of our time.

We launch this series with a deep look at how the Gospel of grace speaks into our exhaustion and our silence.

The Problem: The Pressure of Getting it Right We look at the fractures in our culture and the struggles in our own hearts and wonder: What do I say to my neighbor? What do I say to the Lord? And what, in the midst of all this, is He saying to me? The pressure to "get it right" for God and the world—to have the perfect answer for every cultural crisis— can create a kind of paralysis. It disconnects us from the very Good News meant to set us free.

The First Seminar: The Gospel Flips the Script We are thrilled to begin this journey with The Rev. Dr. Jono Linebaugh, Director of Anglican Studies at Beeson Divinity School. Dr. Linebaugh reminds us that while the world views religion as our "climb" toward God, the Gospel is always about God’s "descent" toward us. As theologian Chad Bird puts it:

"The Bible is not a collection of stories about people who did it right. It is a collection of stories about how God does it right for people who do it wrong... Every story—no matter how dark or messy—is a shadow cast by the cross."

This Seminar is For You Whether you are ordained, a lay leader, discerning a call, or simply a soul in need of refreshment, this space is for you. This is an opportunity to draw breath and be equipped in the grace of Jesus:

In your personal devotions: When you don’t know what to say to the Lord.

In your conversations: When you don’t know what to say to your neighbor.

In your ministry: As you prepare to preach or teach the faith.

Join us as we find our voice again, not through our own effort, but in the God who has already spoken the final word of grace.
