The Rector, the Vestry, and the Church
Workshop Description:
If you've ever wondered how the leadership of the Church works, this workshop is for you. We will take our time together to offer an historical view of Anglican governance, as well as a functional understanding of how the clergy and elected lay leadership works together to bring the transforming love of Jesus Christ to New England and the world.
Ross is the Canon to the Ordinary for Bishop Andrew. He has been attending Anglican churches since he embraced Christian faith in his 20’s. He served in many capacities in those churches over the subsequent years, including vestry member and Senior Warden. Ross was actively involved in the creation of the Diocese, served on the Standing Committee, and acted as Chancellor for several years. As a priest in the diocese, he has provided clergy presence for several smaller churches, acted as part of an Interim Rector team, and now assists Canon Tim Clayton at Trinity North Shore. As Canon to the Ordinary he is blessed to assist Bishop Andrew in a variety of ways. Despite all of his experience, Ross says there is still way too much that he doesn’t know or know how to do.
Josh Vanada is currently the Chairman of the Standing Committee for the Anglican Diocese in New England, blending his love for Jesus Christ with his God-giving passion to see organizations and individuals thrive. Josh also most recently served as Trinity North Shore's founding Senior Warden, assisting in organizing the movement of God's Spirit in South Hamilton. He uses his experience as the Platform General Manager of a General Motors dealership, along with his God-given gifts and passions, to help the church bring vision into action. Josh is an experienced workshop facilitator and proven coach. He, his wife Ashleigh, and their son, Jackson, live in southeastern Massachusetts.
