Floodgate Cross Continues Journey Inspiring Prayer around New England
The Floodgate Cross continued its pilgrimage across the northeast with its arrival at Incarnation Anglican Church in Manchester, NH. It then made its way to the Missional Planning Summit, before heading to our westernmost outposts in an emerging Albany archdeaconry in Western New York. It then traveled South to Bridgeport, CT. and The Bridges community before crossing the sound to Long Island where the Revs. Sean and Kate Norris lead Dandelion Ministries. Here are some photos!
Pictured above: the Rev. Piper Loveless, rector of Incarnation Anglican Church receives the Floodgate Cross from the Rev. Cinnamon Blomquist, Andover Community Church. Rev. Piper and the Incarnation vision team reflected on their participation in the Pilgrimage saying,
"Unity in prayer and evangelistic vision is the heart of our diocese. The floodgate cross and the opportunity to pray, knowing that it was a shared prayer moving across the diocese, felt like a reminder of who we are called to be with and for each other. Incarnation felt especially blessed to pray for the congregations receiving the cross next. As we were planning, it turns out a member of our vision team has visited with one of the clergy, and was already praying for the work in Granville, NY! The movement of the Spirit was clearly felt as we were praying, and our hope is that this pilgrimage begins a movement across our region of refreshment and greater connection as we together obey the call to reach New England with the love of Jesus."

The Floodgate Cross also visited The Rivers in Bridgeport, CT. Their rector, the Rev. Gabrielle Beam, is ministering abroad this month, so we’ll have photos from The Bridges in our next update!
